Ambrose Hire Ltd was first established as a business in 1979 to hire out non-operated plant to the local market based in Leyland, near Preston in Lancashire. Since then it has successfully expanded its product offering to a diverse customer base to include the operated plant market.

Our geographical market area stretches from Carlisle in Cumbria down the M6 corridor through Penrith and Lancaster into the North West stretching eastwards to Leeds in Yorkshire down through the peak district and Stoke on Trent up to North Wales, Manchester, Bolton, Merseyside, Warrington, Wigan, Preston, Chorley Blackburn, Burnley, Blackpool and the Fylde coast.
Ambrose offers a comprehensive range of the very latest equipment, fully serviced and inspected from world-leading brands as JCB, Kubota, Bomag, Hamm, Terex, Hitachi, Volvo ,Thwaites and Yanmar at extremely competitive rates. But what really sets Ambrose apart from the rest, is our commitment to provide the highest standard of customer service underpinned by the achievement and maintenance of our ISO 9001 Quality Assurance accreditation.

Our staff are on-hand to offer expert advice to make sure you always get the right equipment for the job. Our plant is inspected prior to every hire and our fleet of vehicles ensure prompt on-site delivery. Our team of trained, experienced engineers offer an outstanding site-based back-up service.
